- [ ] Place reinforcement: ☐ Rebar (#3 or #4) ☐ Wire mesh ☐ Fiber reinforcement in mix
- [ ] Set rebar on chairs (NOT touching ground)

### Concrete Pour
- [ ] Mix design:
  - **PSI:** _____ (typical: 3,500 driveways, 4,000 commercial, 4,500+ high-stress)
  - **Slump:** 4-5 inches
  - **Air entrainment:** 5-7% (required for freeze-thaw climates)
  - **Aggregate:** 3/4" or 1" maximum

- [ ] Apply curing compound (we use Sika or Euclid sealer/curer)

### Cleanup
- [ ] Remove forms after appropriate cure time (typically 24-48 hrs)
- [ ] Backfill against slab edges
- [ ] Haul debris off-site
- [ ] Magnetic sweep for nails

## 3. Material Specifications

| Item | Specification |
|---|---|
| Concrete | Ready-mix, third-party batched, _____ PSI |
| Rebar | Grade 60 deformed bars, lapped 24x diameter |
| Wire mesh | 6×6 W2.9 (standard for residential flatwork) |
| Base material | Crushed stone (3/4" or 1") clean, no fines |
| Forms | 2× lumber or aluminum (reusable) |
| Curing compound | ASTM C309 Type 1D resin-based |
| Sealer (if applied) | ASTM C1315 acrylic or solvent-based |

**Mix design notes:**
- Cold weather (below 40°F): hot water + accelerator (calcium chloride or non-chloride)
- Hot weather (above 90°F): set retarder + ice in mix water
- We do NOT add water on-site after mix arrives (weakens concrete)

- Covers settling, cracking due to improper preparation or installation
- Covers form lines, finish defects

### What's normal (NOT warranty issues)
- Hairline shrinkage cracks (concrete cracks — that's why we install control joints)
- Surface efflorescence (white powder, naturally occurs first 12 months)
- Minor surface discoloration during curing
- Cracking from soil movement, frost heave, or tree roots
- Cracking from heavy loads exceeding design

### What is warranty-covered
- Structural cracks wider than 1/8" within first year
- Concrete that doesn't reach specified PSI (we'll test if disputed)
- Improperly placed control joints
- Form lines exceeding 1/4" deviation

## 8. Curing & Care Instructions

**First 7 days (critical):**
- No foot traffic for 3 days
- No vehicles for 7 days
- Sprinkle with water 2-3x daily if temp >80°F (keeps surface from drying too fast)
- Cover with plastic sheeting if rain expected within 6 hours of pour

**First 28 days:**
- Avoid heavy loads (commercial trucks, RVs)
- No de-icing salts (calcium chloride safe; rock salt NOT safe in first year)

**Ongoing:**
- Apply sealer annually for decorative concrete
- Sweep debris regularly
- Address cracks with caulk before water infiltrates

## 9. Pricing Includes / Excludes

### Includes
- All labor and materials per scope
- Concrete delivery
- Permits where required by AHJ
- Standard 1-year workmanship warranty
- Cleanup and debris removal

### Excludes
