What ContractorRanks is

ContractorRanks publishes independent reviews of software for trade contractors and provides free downloadable templates (proposals, contracts, invoices, inspection reports). Our income comes primarily from affiliate commissions paid by software vendors when a visitor signs up with them after clicking through our site. See our affiliate disclosure for details.

Use of templates

The contract, proposal, invoice, and inspection templates published on this Site are provided as-is, for informational use. We grant you a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to download, edit, and use the templates in your own business — including for paid work with your customers. You may not republish the templates as your own product (for sale, in a course, on a competing site, etc.).

Software reviews and rankings

Software reviews on this Site reflect our editorial assessment based on publicly available information, vendor materials, hands-on testing where possible, and aggregated user feedback. Pricing, features, and ratings change frequently — we update pages on a rolling basis but cannot guarantee that every detail on every page reflects the most current vendor terms. Always verify pricing, contract terms, and feature availability with the vendor directly before purchase.

Our rankings are not influenced by affiliate payouts. Vendors we have no affiliate relationship with are reviewed and ranked on the same basis as vendors we do.

Cost guides and calculators

The cost ranges, calculators, and pricing data on the Site are estimates based on national averages and reported contractor quotes. Local labor rates, material costs, permit requirements, and site conditions vary widely. Treat the figures as a starting point for budgeting, not as a binding quote. Always obtain at least three written estimates from licensed local contractors for actual work.
